Small Lux

How do you make a small bathroom not look so small? Use reflective materials, floating cabinetry and hiding away unnecessary items.

The 12”x24” porcelain marble tile was applied on three walls from floor to ceiling. This not only provided a reflective and easy to clean surface but created a bit of luxury feel without breaking the bank. 8”x48” porcelain wood plank tiles helped ground the design while the natural look of wood warmed up the colour palette and countered the starkness of the white and grey porcelain. The vanity was anchored to the wall to create a sense of airiness while the black laminate finish gave contrast and visual interest. White integrated ceramic sink and countertop matched the same ceramic used for the toilet. A mirror medicine cabinet was used with integrated LED lighting which bestowed proper lighting and additional storage. Wood laminate panel was used around the medicine cabinet to frame in the unit and tie in the other wood colours used in the space. The most Interesting feature in this bathroom was the large wood laminate which hung in barn door style hardware. The sliding door revealed stacked washer and dryer, which could be hidden away when not in use.
